Diwali and the Hindu New Year are two of the most vibrant and joyous festivals in the year for millions of Hindus around the world.

Join us at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London - popularly known as Neasden Temple - for one of the UK's iconic community celebrations, marked with a host of free, devotional activities for the whole family.

Visitor Guidelines

The Mandir is a sacred house of God and a place of daily worship. In the interest of preserving its sanctity and ensuring worshippers can enjoy the spiritual ambience, all visitors are requested to abide by the following guidelines applicable in all areas of the Mandir complex.

Prohibited items will not be permitted within the Temple complex and must be deposited at the bag drop facility or at the security gates.

Dress Code

Visitors are requested to ensure that their shoulders, navels, and thighs are covered, and that legwear extends below the knee at all times when entering the temple.

Bags & Purses

Small (palm-sized) purses and wallets are allowed into the building. Large bags and cameras are not. Please deposit all large bags and cameras in the Baggage Cabin located opposite the Mandir on Pramukh Swami Road prior to entering the complex. Please remember to collect your belongings when you leave.

Shoes

It is customary to remove footwear upon entering any part of the Haveli complex. Shoe racks are provided within the complex.

Children

Children are welcome. However, visitors aged 16 or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

No Food or Drink

No food or drink is allowed on the premises. Please discard chewing gum prior to entering.

Photography, videography and audio recording within the Mandir complex is strictly prohibited.

Cooperation

We kindly ask for your respect and cooperation with our volunteers, who are dedicated to ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all visitors. The Management reserves the right to deny admission to anyone not adhering to the guidelines, including those who may be dressed inappropriately. Please note that access to the Mandir complex may be restricted without prior notice if capacity limits are reached.
